Reverend Norman (Norm) Hibbard was a true wise and generous friend of everyone here at Arts 'n Autism. Norm led by example and never asked anyone to do anything that he would not do himself. He was leader and a visionary. Through hands-on involvement, Norm continually found ways to meet unmet needs within our community. He believed in Arts ’n Autism’s mission and the importance of early intervention for children with special needs. We are grateful for Norm’s faith, encouragement, and all he taught us along the way.
A unique early intervention, preschool, after-school, summer camp, respite, and vocational day program for young children to young adults diagnosed with ASD.
OUR MISSION:
Preparing Students with Autism for What Comes Next...
In 2023, the CDC reported that approximately 1 in every 36 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with an autism spectrum Disorder (ASD).

In Tuscaloosa County alone, there are more than 1,200 children under the age of 18 years, identified with ASD.
Arts ‘n Autism is an early intervention, after school, and summer camp program designed to meet the special needs of these children.

In 2014, Arts 'n Autism began expanding programming to meet the needs of post high school graduates. This expansion is now the LIFEE program designed for young adults ages 18+
