Arts ‘n Autism provides an After School Camp program for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Every child participates in three 45‐minute instructional classes. Classes are limited to 10 students. Each class encourages language, development, sensory integration, and social skills.

Arts ‘n Autism heads into 2013 with a grateful spirit. Because of the kindness and generosity shown to us by the Tuscaloosa community, we are blessed to be planning another year of program dreams and goals.

This March we celebrated the program’s 9th anniversary. Together we have had tiny and huge successes and experienced many growing pains together as one big happy family.

In an afternoon, our children participate in three 45-minute instructional classes that encourage creativity, self-expression, language development, sensory integration, motor development, social skills, self-confidence and nurtures friendships All classes maintain a low student-to-adult ratio for individual assistance and safety supervision.

Onsite programming includes art, music/movement therapies, biblio therapy, drumming, ukulele and piano lessons, yoga, martial arts, social skllls, and sign language.

This semester we will add an Arts ‘n Autism track team to compete in a West Alabama Children’s Division, piloting a multi-age Girl Scout troop, a journalism/photography and advanced art classes.

When and Where:
Covenant Presbyterian Church
Drop-Off: 3-3:15 p.m.
Pick-Up: 5:15-5:30 p.m.
Transporation:  Children attending University Place Middle School (Westlawn) and University Place Elementary School (Stillman Heights) are provided free transporation from school to Covenant.

Camp Cost:
Camp fees include all snacks, classroom supplies, and lessons*.
If your child requires a 1-1 assistant, the cost will be an additional $10.00 per hour.
$25 per day. If your child attends all five days, your child will receive a 10% discount, making full-time tuition $112.50 per week.

*If your child is on a special diet, please send snacks from home. If they wear pull-ups or diapers, send a supply, a change of clothes, and wipes, all labeled with their names. If your child requires a car seat or booster seat, leave it with their teacher and label it. Please also label coats and backpacks.
